About the Scholarship
The Shane Carpenter Foundation established the Shane Carpenter Heart & Leadership Scholarship to honor Shane Carpenter’s legacy as a state champion wrestler, MMA fighter, coach, and mentor. This scholarship supports students from his high school wrestling program in pursuing higher education.
Past Event Highlights:
Over the past three years, we’ve had 50+ local sponsors, hundreds of golfers and volunteers, nearly $100,000 raised, and countless community engagements spreading joy and fun in Shane’s name. These efforts have enabled us to award three scholarships to date.

Celebrating Joseph Bartels: Our 2024 Scholarship Recipient
Congratulations to Joseph Bartels, a standout senior at Creekside High School and this year’s recipient of the Shane Carpenter Foundation Heart Award!
Joseph has not only excelled as a captain on both the football and wrestling teams, but he’s also earned a spot at Florida State University in the Pre-Exercise Physiology program. His dedication, leadership, and hard work truly embody the spirit of this award.
We’re proud to celebrate his achievements and wish him continued success as he embarks on this exciting new chapter.
